What will it be like to receive therapy from me?
The focus will be on the present moment, not a lot of drudging up the past. Some talk of the past is important, but only in how it relates to your life in the present moment.
I do not provide a quick fix solution to your anxiety, but rather help you to re-discover the strengths you already possess to tackle it head-on.
I tailor treatment to each client, combining mindfulness with other forms of therapy that have also been found effective for anxiety, such as Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure Therapy.
Therapy takes work! It will be a collaborative process between us. I will not provide magical solutions to solve your problems. I will however provide guidance to help you apply new skills to your life. Progress and relief from symptoms is entirely dependent on the work you put into the therapy.
I am a real person, working with real people.
I like to laugh and will likely use humor to help you find lightness in your life, even when it seems like there is no light to be found.
People say I have funky or weird hair that changes a lot, sometimes with bright colors in the mix.
